Discover the sea’s birds – theme at Havets Hus during 2025!
Come and experience a fantastic exhibition about the sea’s birds, where we celebrate the winged inhabitants that navigate our oceans. The 2025 theme takes you on a journey through the world of seabirds – and you will see some of the most common species, sculpted in wood by the world-renowned artist Tom Nilsson, also known as The Birdman.
Wooden birds by master Tom Nilsson
In the shallow part of the aquarium, you will encounter beautifully detailed wooden birds – a tribute to the sea’s flying creatures. Artist Tom Nilsson has created these sculptures that capture the elegance and movement of the birds in a way that only a master can.

Bird guide and photos The exhibition is complemented by a bird guide in Gullmarsalen, where you can learn more about our local seabirds and their behaviors. On the way down to the deeper parts of the aquarium, you can view photos from the public that have captured these amazing birds in nature.
Crawl into a large bird egg For children, an exciting experience awaits – a large crawl-into egg! Here they can play and feel like a little bird chick.
The egg was created by the Danish artist Vagn A.C Iversen.
Join us on an unforgettable bird journey and learn more about these impressive animals, while discovering more of the sea’s mysteries. Welcome to Havets Hus and our new exhibition about the sea’s birds!
