Marine Mammals science education

Havets Hus proudly presents our new EU Horizon 2020 sponsored project – Marine Mammals science education. The project is a collaboration between scientists and educatotors working within the marine mammals field from five different countries (Germany, Belgium, Poland, Denmark, Sweden) and aims to increase the interest for science education through development of new pedagogical approaches. Marine Mammals science education focuses on primary and secondary school teachers and their students and the material produced will be congruent with each participating country’s stipulated school curriculum.

Havets Hus will be offering free courses for teachers on how to use the material. The courses will be run on two occasions during 2017: the week prior to commencement of the autumn school term start, and again during the autumn break (week 44). Exact dates will be posted shortly. Please contact Anna Lorenz to register your interest or if you have any questions: Anna.Lorenz@havetshus.se

The courses are funded by the Marine Mammals science education project! Hence, the course fee, transport, and accommodation is included – the school need only to pay for their teacher’s working hours.

The Marine Mammals science education project will continue in 2018 and will be offering courses/summer schools for students and also a symposium for both students and teachers – more information on this will be posted shortly!
